Recently, the Make A Change founders received a scholarship from the National Diaper Bank Network which enabled the ladies to attend their National Diaper Banks in America Conference in Kansas City in October 2014.
At the convention, they met with and heard from members of the National Organization and networked with 100 diaper bank founders from around the country.
Kathleen DiChaira, the Founder of the Community Foodbank of New Jersey, was the keynote speaker for the conference. Mrs. DiChiara started feeding the hungry out of the trunk of her car in Newark in 1975. The CFBNJ now feeds over 900,000 people annually.
Mrs. DiChiara graciously invited Kyasky and Schwanewede to visit and tour the NJCFB facility, and possibly collaborate in the future to bring relief to the hungry and underserved in New Jersey.
